I think the hair density is enough and the hair is nicely wavy. The wig has a very minimal industrial smell. But you should be able to wash them with a mild shampoo and cold water. I haven't done this yet because I didn't mind the smell much (I've encountered worse smells with other products). A comb and hair net are included with this product. You can style your hair very well with the comb. So far the hair has all remained.
